Health Aspect:

Cashes are the nuts with least fat and calories. They contain native, not denatured oil and proteins, minerals such as magnesium, iron and phosphor as well as B-Vitamins. Moreover, Vitamin K, copper, manganese and zinc make the cashews so valuable.
No other foodstuff is so high in essential amino acid, with its mood-lifting and weight-reducing effects, as the cashew nut.

The Brazil nuts contain 70% oil. This high amount of oil is of very high quality, as one third of it are unsaturated fatty acids. Thus, the human requirement in this regard may be covered with Brazil nuts alone.

A regular intake of almonds may regulate the blood sugar, lower the cholesterol value and may help to prevent heart and circulation diseases. Some ingredients may also help to prevent cancer as well as stomach and intestinal troubles. Furthermore, these substances help to strengthen the immune system and to regulate the appetite.

The regular intake of hazelnuts also helps to lower the cholesterol level, thus minimizing the risk of arterio-sclerotic diseases.

The walnut contains poly-unsaturated fatty acids, amongst others Omega-3-fatty acids. Such acids participate in the development of the brain and strengthen our nerves. With 7g Omega-3-fatty acids per 100 g the walnut by far surpasses the salmon with its 3g Omega-3-fatty acid per 100 g. As true brain food, the walnuts may considerably improve the intellectual performance with elderly people and these nuts also offer advantages in the special diet of diabetic persons.
