Application:
The Biolifestyle Dates (with kernels) are a very healthy snack. When used in cooking they are a very culinary treat, either filled with cream cheese or wrapped with ham and grilled in the oven, when added to the cheese plate, to muesli or when used for baking.
Health Aspect:
Dates contain almost no fat, but about 70 % sugar – fructose and glucose in equal shares. This guarantees a long-term calorie intake and a quick boost of energy. In spite of the high amount of sugar, dates are not at all fatteners as they contain far less calories than e.g. sweets.
They contain a high level of Vitamin C and are rich in calcium, zinc, copper, iron, magnesium and phosphor. Moreover, they contain Vitamins of the B-group, having a nerve soothing and blood pressure reducing effect.
Due to the very high percentage of fibers they promote digestion.
